ok, here is the whole story on this intercooler, so everyone is clear. i originally bought this intercooler from a friend of mine. he bought the intercooler off of ebay and i just thought it was an ebay knock-off of an AMS. i only paid $100 for it when i bought it. when i told him i was getting rid of it to upgrade to the Nisei, he asked me why and told me it was a real AMS, which is why i posted the original price on this thread. when he told me this information however, he did not sound so sure, so i have been trying to verify if it is in fact real or not because i don't want to sell someone a knock -off for $500. i finally found the information i have been searching for. This information clears it up right here:
1. our inlet and outlet pipes are NOT straight. the imitation cores are
2. our endtanks are welded completely togther. they have there tanks cast as one piece and its welded then to the core.
3. just becuase it says AMS on the core does not make it an AMS unit. if you are pinching pennies and trying to save a buck send me the link and ill verify it for you.
I hope this clears some things up
