You have to get the 3 Bar map sensor in order for it work in our cars. It is a great kit, I have been running it now for about 6 months, and I love it.

 

If you order this kit from them it will cost you about 380 bucks shipped.

you need to run a 3 bar map sensor, you need the pigtail for it as well.

I'm saving you more then 10 bucks.

are there any failsafes? if so, what are they?

 

no real fail safes, the controller has warning lights if it's wired incorrectly or the pump is not spraying when it should be, but if you're asking if it's going to back off to waste gate pressure due to a clogged line....then no, it doesnt have that.

I installed a kit today, car pulls impossibly hard.
