Evo 8 short block w/ everything except wiring, waterpump. Blown piston in the 4th cylinder ... $600 picked up, shipped $900. If local you can check it out no problem... rebuilable... just got pics. cylinder 4 needs to be bored but is rebuildable and strokeable.

totally off topic, but do you know how you blew your piston ring? i have the same problem with the same cylinder. just curious...

 

i drained the oil, saw no shavings or coolant yet i know something was still off.... after my mechanic took off the oil pumo we saw peices of the piston ring at the bottom.... you can see up the cylader wall too, only issue

 

but no idea of what caused it?

 

not sure... i had no early warnings or tapping or anything...
