My AFI GT42r top mount kit on ebay

somebody please buy this awesome kit. It is the first ever top mount 42r kit that still retains the factory a/c and power steering as seen in Dec. DSport.

Long story. Parting out the whole car and going back to mostly stock. Once I get an idea of what I want for each part I'll start another thread.

they probably give up so much drivability for that kind of power they don't realize it until the first time they step on the gas and realize it's absolutely unneccessary.....

My 600whp evo is 100% totally unneccessary, but i consider it way WAY closer to the borderline than 900whp........

i couldn't imagine giving up any more drivability in my car...............and there probably isn't any comparison between the lag in my 2.3/gt35r compared to a 2.0/gt42r....................

for drag racing it's awesome........for street cars................not so much

I think that more or less sums it up. It can be very fun and if it isn't your only means of transportation then it would be great on the street and the track, but I need to daily drive my Evo so now it's back to mostly stock to enhance reliability and drivability.

So from what i get your detuneing the car because lack of money. As far as the daily driveing goes yes its going to be laggy and you would have to alky&meth to boost your not going to just hit the gas and hit crazy boost no. This is something the person that was building your car should have told you. The car is driveable you just want to have power when you hit the gas you would have it if you ran race gas all the time which would cost way to much. I rather have 35mpg then 18mpg thats just me.

eh, kind of. I went from making $10k plus per month to making less than half of that for right now so I need to do something about my '06 IS350 daily driver and that means detuning my Evo so I can daily drive it on pump. my builder did tell me that it was going to be laggy and I knew that coming from an rx6 turbo. The lag is not the problem, but the pump gas and reliability thing is.

Thought about that, but if I sell the car I will take more of a loss than if I sell the parts individually and just put it back to mostly stock.
