FS 3" test pipe that looks like a catalytic converter [pics]
I don't believe in a mechanical fix.
My advice is to simply run an 02 simulator.
If you need an 02 sensor in this test pipe, I can weld one in the factory EVO IX location where a normal 02 sensor would go.
Type? It's a straight through resonated test pipe with a bung at the end of it.
I don't know the brand of the test pipe.
It looks like a TTP test pipe.
Made of 304 stainless. Polished body (though you won't see it with the cat shield)
Straight through perforated center with packed sides.
Pretty much your standard test pipe. I believe it is just like the TTP test pipe.
Welding won't cost any more. I'll be welding the shield on, so all I have to do is take a few more minutes to cut a hole and weld in a bung for the 02 sensor.
The test pipe already has a bung for an 02 sensor, but if you want one in the factory location, it is something I'd have to do. (no cost)
Yes? I'm confused as to what you're getting at.
It's fairly thin sheet metal. I don't see why anyone would ever make more than one pass. The metal shield is welded to itself around all edges. From the factory it is spot welded in 6 places and mig welded in 4.
I welded the shield to the test pipe in 3-4 places.

I will be welding together a resonated test pipe tonight or tomorrow night.
Selling both of these.
$120 shipped for the non-resonated
$170 shipped for the resonated (new)
