Socorro is planning on dumping her beloved IX for a new Cooper S?

Carlos, that gas mileage (43/36) seems pretty optimistic, and forget about high 20's in urban areas. My 03 Mini Cooper S used to get 15 mpg city driving; that is driving it pretty conservative. I don't think the new engine will improve gas mileage by almost 100%. And about being a "cute little girl car", oh well, don't ever tell that to a Mini owner Notice that most of the Mini Cooper S drivers are male (about 90% acording to MINI2.com). On top of that, this little car outhandles the Evo hands down (on dry pavement, of course). Looks are sometimes deceiving.

Cheers

Sergio as I said before: high 20's (29mpg in town to be specific)

http://www.miniusa.com/404.html#/lea...l_Efficiency-s

Additionally I purchased the Mini magazine this week with a full review on the new mini. It says 43 mpg plus in HWY for the Mini cooper S.

Your 15mpg in town on a Mini cooper S sounds to me like you were on the gas most of the time. I get mcuh much better than 15mpg in towe on the Evo with all the mods driving hard. There was something wrong with your Mini consumption in town.

On every car magazine I read they say that the improvement of fuel efficiency is 25% better than the previous supercharger Mini.

My old Mini Cooper S got about 23-28 city and 30-35 highway with an intake and a computer chip. The new mini might get better mpg (it has a new gas savings mode or the sport mode off) but the turbo in the thing is extremely small (It makes the evo ix turbo look like a monster) lol.

Here a link about the mpg: http://motoringfile.com/2006/12/11/m...7-mpg-numbers/
“For the turbocharged 2007 MINI Cooper S with a 6-speed manual transmission the following EPA fuel economy values are 29/36 City/Highway with a combined MPG of 32 MPG. And for the MINI Cooper S with the 6-speed performance automatic transmission the preliminary values are 27/34 City/Highway with a combined average of 30 MPG.”

Here is a review: http://motoringfile.com/2007/02/07/m...the-2007-mini/

OK guys , I have a announment to make that affects only to those interested on my Mini battery(buschur) and the UICP. Unfortunately today I wasn't able to put the original oem UICP on so I couldn't remove the Buschut UICP.

Accidentally another Evo member took my oem UICP from Ray's house. My UICP was on Ray's house for a few months. Today we tried putting a 03 Evo UICP on my 05 Evo and it would not fit.

My oem battery can't be installed with the Buschur UICP. I only have to choices:

a) don't sell my UICP and battery
b) Whomever buys me the UICP with the 1Gen BOV I will give them $50 off if they can send me their oem UICP.

I recovered the buddy club cams 272/272. These cams have about 70 or 80 miles on the car.

Erik, yes I got it, thanks. I need to be straight forward with you. One of the bolts from the downpipe broke while removing it. I am taking it to a machine shop to have it remove. I apologize.

I paid someone to have everything removed.

I have no idea but it held very well on my car. That is a AMS pipe, superlight weight. I never ever had any issues with it despite I ran sometimes up to 31psi with race gas and methanol.
