whay minor modifications?

 

The mivec oil feed line is mounted on the back of the block where the low oil pressure sender is mounted on the evo 8 block. The oil pressure sender for evo9 was moved to the oil filter bracket like all previous 4g63 engines. So to use evo 9 block in and 8 you would have to remove the oil feed line and install low oil pressure sender in its place.
