Of course less than what a motor would cost. I'm not sure, I will do a search on cores and post a price.

I see anything from $700-$1000 for a stock head (head should be fine + it has 280 cams).

I don't see anything for a 2.3 core but I've seen stock core go from $600. Remember with this block the machining has been done and it's possbile the pistons (arias 9:1) is still ok but for sure the rings, rods and crank is damaged.

Send me some offers or advice on pricing (if you've seen some cores sold).

Oversized valves in head? Retainers and springs? Port work? Thanks for the updated info.

I did. I meant what were you doing that made the bearing spin. Was it a faulty build or driver error.

The oil cooler on the car happen to not be an OEM unit. It was a different one rigged with goodyear rubber hoses and clamps. The hoses on the oil cooler blew off while I was driving on the freeway and the motor oil starved. Then I started hearing knocking and vibration coming from the motor, took it to a shop and was diagnoise with rod knock.
