The 2.4l motor has proven to be a great performer in any 4G63 platform we have tested it in. For a street car, the 2.4l motor's added displacement is noticed immediately from the first crack of the throttle - The 2.4l motor will make 30-40 more ft/lbs of torque than your factory 2.0l at the same boost levels and about 15-20 more WHP depending on your turbocharger of choice.

Why build a 2.4l motor instead of a 2.3l motor?

1) Cost less to build as core motors are abundant unlike the expensive 2.0l cores.
2) Taller deck height by 6mm than the factory 2.0l block.
3) Larger bore size by 1.5mm over the factory 2.0l block.
4) Rally tested and mother approved - it will simply make more torque than a 2.3l motor.
5) Did you catch the part where it is less expensive due to the abundance of cores?

What are you waiting for?

You had better tell all your EVO VIII buddies that the 2.4l motor is the answer to their prayers! No longer will they have to worry about the typical lag issues related to small displacement street motors. This motor is a perfect match for the GT35R guys who want a wicked street car (yea I said wicked, so sue me- that will teach me not to hang out with people from the NE part of the US) and do not want to wind the motor out to 9k to have a little fun.

^price does not include shipping. Remember there some great Evo shops in the area that can easily install this for you. So you could always make an appointment with speedelement, gst, fftec, or works and make a road trip and get it installed!

Where you located? How much do you think shipping would be? Your idea sounds nice but my motor is blown. This is a straight sale right? No core?

Really? For 2400 your going to complain about I beams? The way this motor is built it will hold
more than enough power you want unless your looking for more than 800whp???

Yeah for 2400. Why? Cuz that's another $700 I gotta spend when I can buy one straight from SBR for that price. And I-beams hold up much better than H. Even if I didn't want much power, I'd still buy I's. Go big or go home, do it right the first time.
