I have an 2004 EVO VIII ECU for sale....$50.00 shipped in the 48.
This ECU came as "stock parts" on a 2004 EVO VIII a friend purchased used. (Car came with an AEM in it).
Why the low price: I had my pump gas tune copied and thrown on this ECU.....My 2005 Evo ran fine on the pump gas tuned ECU for a couple days and then threw a check engine light.....Car continued to run fine for 2 weeks but I didn't investigate the code
I installed my original 2005 ECU tuned on 100 octane and put it back in the car...Ran the car on race gas after that.
Put this 2004 EVU aside and haven't touch it since June 09....
It has a tune for my car flashed in it.(IE you need to reflash it)
Car runs fine but CEL light
CEL light, not sure why, didn't investigate....
Selling for cheap..
You know everything I know about the ECU

Yes.....8000 rev limit.
The car ran fine......with the ECU...just had that CEL that I never got with the original one.
More info: I do everything to my car (clutch 3 times, head gasket twice, All other mods..ETC) with the exception of tuning.
My tuner lives just over an hour away from me......buy I have a long time friend that is well know Subaru tuner in the area.
My friend has a tactrix cable and copied my pump gas program and flashed this ECU......So I could have a backup pump gas ECU
A few weeks later I had my original ECU tuned by my tuner on 100 octane....This original ECU is currently in my car.
The reflashed by a friend ECU is the one for sale.

As far as I know yes.........The car ran fine with the ECU but it had a check engine light come on when it was in the car.
The ECUs are normal $150ish area shipped....because I don't know the history (it came with a used car) and I don't know why it got a CEL (but I only had it in the car a few weeks) I am selling it cheap as is....
I figured $50.00 is cheap enough that I feel I gave the buyer all of the info I have to make their decision with minimum financial risk to them.
If you can figure it out, or if it was only a bad tune, or you can handle the CEL on......this will work fine for you.
I have a nothing but great seller responses here and on other messages boards....but I don't want to jeopardize that over an ECU if I sell it a going rate ($150ish)..........hence the $50 (fair) price
So that is why the $50.00 price.....It is cheap but the buyer clearly understands that I don't know everything about the history, I can't tune and never look at the CEL because I had the car retuned as planned on a different ECU.....this was only going to be a back-up.
