03 Evo 8 Tcase
03 Evo 8 Tcase
sold
I have for sale here a Tcase out of a 2003 Evo 8 (no LSD front dif). The transfercase has 48,xxx miles on it. It did have a slight whine when I removed it. I purchased a Stage Three TRE unit, so I no longer have use for this.
I do how ever need a turbo. I will trade this for any stock framed turbo. The turbo MUST BE IN GOOD CONDITION WITH NO SHAFT PLAY!
If someone wants to purchase this I will let it go for 600 shipped anywhere in the contiguous US.
**Added this to clear up any confusion**
When I bought the car in Feb of 09, the Tcase whined, but was not loud. In the beginning of December the whine grew louder andI decided it was time to replace it so i bought a TRE unit.
I drove the car over 300 miles after the whine started, and I noticed no adverse effects. The whine is not nearly as audible as videos of dead Tcases I have seen, but it is there.
When I asked John Sheppard how long it would last when the whine started, he said he couldn't say for what ever reason, but in a round about way said as long as it wasn't beat on it should last a while. He and Jon Ripple of TRE recommended Redline Shockproof Heavy, which I ran in the case after the whine started(previously used diaqueen) and it improved the noise considerably.
I hope that clears things up...haha
