do you know how high of hp this was tested to without misfires??

The previous AEM CDI box and system worked fine on my car when it was dyno'd at 550HP. The brand new AEM CDI box that AEM sent me as an upgrade has never been on a car, but it's specifications are higher than the previous AEM box.

Yes, it is. It was removed from a running Evo.

is this comparable to the hks dli 2 or better? does this work with the aem ems? or is this entirely seperate

You can find the specs for the AEM CDI Twin Fire on the AEMpower website. It works perfectly with an AEM ECU, but also with the stock ECU.

No, they are just reputed to work better than stock Evo coils. The AEM CDI will work with a variety of other coils, including COP type applications.
