FS: solenoid from AEM Tru-Boost

for those of you who need the solenoid only, without having to buy the entire AEM tru boost setup with gauge and solenoid. I dont know that AEM sells the tru boost solenoid on its own so here it is. Perfect condition, just took it off today as i am now running the new Perrin 3-port EBCS Pro for ecu boost control and am only using the tru boost as a gauge

Price lowered, 70 shipped
Thanks for looking!

no this isnt the 5 bar external sensor to run 30+ PSI, this is the solenoid that originally comes with the tru boost. But im not sure if the optional sensor to run higher boost replaces this solenoid or is an add on, anyone know?

the sensor is its own device to measure manifold pressure. the solenoid is on its own and what actually varies boost. you can also use it with an aem ems. its the best boost control solenoid you can get. 10x better than the perrin.

Better than the new Perrin? The new Perrin ebcs pro was just released and I haven't found any reviews on it so far, but it holds boost great so far. As far as the aem solenoid, I could have used it With the stock ecu had I wired it in??

i dont know about the new one, but the old one is diabolical to tune. the aem soleniod can be used with pretty much any aftermarket ecu with ecu based boost control, but i dont know about the stock ecu.

well i know the aem would probably work with aftermarket ecu, especially an aem one, and for sure with the tru boost cuz it comes with it. As far as using it for ecu boost control as a 3 port with stock ecu, i dont think it can and if it does it would require wiring and hacking into the stock ecu, unlike the ebcs that i just got which is plug n play.

This is the one im on now, which just came out last month and works like a charm. it is the same as the GM 3-port or grimmspeed.

It's a MAC solenoid, rebranded by AEM, like all the others. Costs less from an industrial controls supplier, but you have to do some research to spec the right one. For most people, just buying the AEM version is a reasonable option. Bump for you.
