For us people that have dropped off the radar what are the advantages of the new and old style clutches?

The newer style clutch is said to last longer and have a less harsh engagement from a stop. That being said, with the other "older" style QM clutches that I have driven, I never had an issue with the so called harsh engagement and in fact I really like the Hydraulic TOB on the QM....gives a very smooth and light clutch pedal pressure.

From MAP's webpage, talking about the older style QM twin clutch:

"We have yet to reach the power limits of this clutch! It was previously used on our 700+hp 2g, and is still in our 800+hp talon and working flawlessly! We tried every other clutch you can think of, and nothing could hold the power!"

The QM will hold more torque then an exedy twin HD so it is north of 535lb/ft...by how much, not sure.

How would this clutch be for a daily driven car? Too harsh? Wear too quick?

It is in my opinion a great DD clutch, but many disagree lol. That being said, I'm going to be keeping this clutch now.
