FS: cheap Evo8 turbo with 10.5 hotside
This is my personal Evo8 turbo mated with a 10.5 hotside that I bought and do not need. The turbo is in perfect running condition with no shaft play. It saw 23.5psi at most, only on pump gas. The hotside appears in great condition, but has a few stripped and broken studs, so I have included one brand new stud. I attempted to fix it but didn't have the right tools to finish the job. The previous owner of this hotside told me it was off a 2006 RS and is only 2000 miles old.
This bundle comes with:
• Evo8 turbo
• 10.5 hotside (single flapper design)
• Evo8 wastegate actuator
• turbo outlet j-pipe
• both coolant lines (feed and return) and banjo bolts
• oil feed line with banjo bolt
• v-band clamp to hold the turbo together with the hotside
• extra brand new stud
I am pricing this to sell soon, so I'll let it go for $175 shipped.

You can see I drilled this broken bolt on the hotside, but do not have the right tools to tap it out. Any shop should be able to take this out pretty easily based on my perfect drill into the center of it
.

This stud is severely stripped.

This stud is also stripped at the tips.

This stud is barely stripped but a nut won't thread on very well. Basically, you only need 2 working studs for a hotside (to connect to the 02 housing). It's got one good stud left and I am throwing in a brand new one. Most everyone puts a pair of bolts and nuts on the side where it connects to the exhaust manifold, so that you can easily remove the manifold in the future. It is discussed extensively in this post (post 247).
