Hi folks,
I got this valve in trade for some parts from a good friend/evo customer here at the shop. I was going to use this on my next project, but that's far off into the future at this point and it's better off being used on a car now.
This was installed on an Evo 8 for a few months and was working fine. It was swapped out for a different valve at the time because the tuner felt it was loose on the mounting boss and would possibly leak(justifiable no doubt).
Because I had planned to use it on my own car at some point I modified the valve at my machine shop a little to suit what I wanted it to do. The small M3 allen set screws that used to secure this valve to the mounting boss were thrown out and I drilled and tapped the holes for larger stainless M4 pitch allen cap screw that you can tighten very well now. These will not loosen.
I modified the boost/vac reference ports and machined the side of the body to accept a standard 1/8-27 NPt fitting instead of the small brass fittings they normally use. Right now I have a -4an fitting in there for use with braided boost reference line line, but one can simply thread in a brass nipple NPt fitting to use regular hose if needed. I may even have one I can throw in the box with it just incase you need it. The two fittings at the rear of the valve are loopedhose not shown but included) to connect both internal chambers for the fastest reaction possible. I also blocked off the original external boost-only reference port and machined and internal crossover so you do not have to run multiple lines to this valve any more. Just one single connection is necessary to make it work.
Included with this valve is the Anti stall valve kit(currently installed on the valve), which allows those who want to run the valve atmoshperic to be able to do so, as well as the recirculation hookup fitting so it can be dumped back into the intake tube if desired.
also included is an OEM upper evo 8/9 charge pipe with the mounting boss welded on, so you can essentially bolt this onto your car with nothing more than 1/2 hour of wrench time. It's not shown as it's still at the shop, but I attest it will be in the box.
Valve with recirc fitting goes for about $190- $195, anti stall is ~$35. charge pipe I'll throw in for free. Valve is in perfect working condition, only flaw is some minor edge marring of the anodized black coating on the back caps. I have fully cleaned and setup the valve, and also put new stainless cap hardware on it. Once mounted on the car, you cannot see it as it's on the bottom. I wouldn't be selling the valve if I knew I'd have a use for it in the next year.
Looking to get $165 shipped for it anywhere in the continental USA($150 + $15 to pack and ship with DC# via USPS priority mail)
