HKS 272 cams

Selling a pair of HKS 272's cams. They are in excellent condition. Selling due to upgrading to Kelfords for my new setup.

I am a newb... but can you run these on stock valve train? Or should you get springs etc?

get the dual valve springs and retainers

They are perfectly fine to run on stock valve train. I have been told 8k is the safe limit, but I revved mine to 8.5 all summer without any issues.

These are really not needed at all with these cams under 8k. The factory EVO beehive valve springs/retainers do really well.

how much is your mpg affected when you run these?

No difference after your tune is adjusted for the cams.

Yes. You will see good gains with hardly any loss of spool.

These are good starter cams. I have had these cams since 2006. I have also hit 8300 rpms without any problems with stock springs. Although I Don't recommend reving that high. 7800 I think is safe

I want to run a set of them, I have heard good things once you start bolting parts on that you will need them to keep the higher power range strong. As of right now the car is bone stock and in need of a t-case lol.

Gotta noob question also about the cams? Are the cams used in 8's different or same than the 9's mivec set up? So if these were for an 8 the would they work in my 9?

No 8 and 9 cams are different
