I have a turbo for sale. So i bought my evo used, Previous owner didnt do any of the mods, He bought the car with them, so he Said that the car had an FP red in it. So after further inspection, I discovered that the turbo had shaft play, so i replaced it with an FP green. This turbo is supposed to be an Old school FP red from what i am told,
It is missing the ID tag/plate but the welds where it used to be is there.

It has 7 Fins but I am still unsure if it is a FP red.

If anyone here has better knowledge on these turbos, please tell me what i have. Regardless of what kind of turbo it is, it's for sale AS IS.

has very minor side to side play the compressor housing is not scratched at all, but it has a good amount of in and out shaft play, i would estimate about 2mm.

One of the bolt threads is stripped on the hot side where the O2 housing bolts

Someone can buy this turbo to send in to FP and rebuild, I think they charge $420 or so for a basic rebuild. Probably cheaper to buy this and rebuild it instead of buying a new one.

So if anyone can Confirm that this is an FP red, please do and I dont know a price to sell it for so its up for sale AS IS for best offer.

They tend to fall off, and some that are rebuilt from a 9 that is sent in dont get the tag at all. Mine didnt have one either.

2mm in and out is a tonne. both wheels could be ruined. you wouldn't see it till housings are removed. non tagged just means it was not made from new core but from a used core sent in for upgrade.
