I purchased it from a member on here and never installed it. I've since decided to part ways with the evo in sight of a GTR.
I read the same thing you did about leaks. The square box is completely full of clamps though. Its my understanding if you put one inner and outer on each connection it won't leak. So I have enough 5/16th clamps to put 2 on each connection.
