TRE MAX-LOCK Rear Diff (zero miles)

This is a Team Rip Engineering (TRE) 12-plate MAX-LOCK rear diff that has zero miles on it since the rebuild. TRE performed the upgrade in 2011 on my 60k mile rear diff and it has been sitting in storage since.

Along with the standard rebuild that includes all new bearings and seals along with extensive work to ensure every thing is perfect, it also includes the following optional pieces:

HD Billet steel side cover ($295 upgrade)
MAX-LOCK 12 Plate upgrade with new friction discs ($195 upgrade)
New rear cover with sight glass ($95 upgrade)

TRE Rear Diff Upgrade Information

$1750 shipped CONUS (obo)

Back up top

I have an AMS moustache bar eliminator kit that I'll be putting up separately shortly. Can always add it to this to make for a nice package deal...

Mike,
I have sent you an offer by PM but didn't hear back yet and guess you don't login that regularly. I am ready to agree on a price and to get this sold. Please look in your inbox for my PM which contains my contact info and give me a call.

It's definitely a great upgrade. Just know if it's anything like mine, it's loud. I've gotten used to it already, but it takes getting used to at first.

Thanks for the info haka. My understanding is that the level of plate binding and therefore the amount of noise generated on slow turns depends on how much friction modifier is in the oil you are using, and on the type of diff bushing. For example, if you use Mitsu Diaqueen LSD it has friction modifiers to help prevent binding. If you use Redline NS (No Slip) 80W-140 GL-5 (which doesn't have the modifiers) you may get clunking and banging. If you have solid rear diff bushes it will also be much louder than if you use the rubber stockers.

What type rear diff oil you are using, and what type of bushing do you have?

Hey, thanks for the interest but I'm currently putting the car back together and no longer selling the diff or AMS moustache eliminator.

Sorry for the delay for the 5 or so of you that pm'd me. I rarely get on and when I do it's on my phone and I usually forget to check my messages tab.

Mike,
Thanks for letting me know. I'm sorry you've changed your mind, but happy that you are putting your tin can build back together!
