It was just taken out of the car and sat down for a photo. While it sits on a shelf now, it would not make a difference for a battery to sit on the concrete. Maybe a 1930-1940s edison style battery, but not modern technology. If this were the case, many server rooms would not be storing their backup bank on the floor.
