this will not work on an evo 8.5 turbo due to differences in the hotside apparently and is why it did not work on my car.
Hmm well it didn’t bolt up to my evo 8 turbo without a set of spacers under the bracket? I was told it was for an 8, and is why I purchased it to run while I had a rebuild kit coming from Forge. When mounted it would not sit flush on the housing because of the evo 8 cold side being smaller so I have to assume it’s from an evo ix as the cold side on the ix turbo is larger diameter and would make up for the difference of the spacer. I will look for the buyers sale of what the difference is in the brackets.
Good catch, apparently there is quite a difference in the hotside as well and is why it would not work without spacers under the bracket for me on my turbo. I’m running the 10.5 hotside and didn’t realize there was quite the difference on the outside of the hotside. Post and title has been edited. Bracket is for an evo 8 not ix and will not work on a 8.5 turbo.
