Thumbs down Username S.E.A.N = terrible buying experience!

I ordered a Defi gauge from him in this thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...l-box-f-s.html I purchased what was suppose to be a Defi Imperial 60mm Oil pressure gauge in mint condition. I paid on Aug. 26th and it took over a week just to have the gauge sent out. What I received was a beat up Defi 60mm that was not imperial (ie read in BAR and not in PSI). The wires had been cut at one time and spliced back together.

I contacted him regarding a refund. At this point he told me he sold this for a friend. After trying to deal with both of them for two weeks with no solution I finally contacted his friend Kurt Shelton via phone. He was not willing to to offer a refund for the gauge until he could get the gauge back and inspect it for damage. Why would the gauge be damaged when it was still in the box he sent it in? I asked him this question and his response "this is how I do things at my business". So being willing and trusting we agreed I would eat the shipping costs and send the gauge back and he would promptly get me a refund once he gets the gauge back. The gauge arrived back at 10/18 and now he will not return my phone calls nor has S.E.A.N returned my last PMs. So I am out the $210 from the gauge I sent back.

DO NOT BUY FROM S.E.A.N..you will be given excuse after excuse. I have filed a chargeback dispute with my credit card. I hope all members will avoid this seller!

1. I'm sorry that happened to you, and hear that somone has to be so low and pull a stunt like that, to make online buying less friendly.
2.Thank you for throwing the YELLOW *** for caution of a seller like that, and providing detail information.
3. I hope you get your money back.

Wow wow there is always two side to a story please tell the people on evom the full story ill admit that it was a miscommunication between You, Kurt and I about the gauge being in bar and not psi I was willing to help you in everyway possible to get this problem resolve. You were well aware that the wires had been cut I told you that from the get go and that you can get the wiring diagram from defi’s webpage. I spoke to my friend and told him this was not the gauge you wanted he said ok that’s fine ship back the gauge to return address and as soon as he gets it he will give you back your refund. You then shipped the gauge to the wrong address which you also knew so it was held at the shipping company. You also spoke to Kurt about this and he said will pick it up in a couple days because he will be busy. So yesterday I spoke to Kurt about picking up and gauge mind you he was already at the shipping company only to find out that the OP (dbsears) had pay an extra $7 and requested the gauge to get shipped out back to him.

I personally know both Sean and Kurt and both are stand up guys. I hope this matter gets resolved and this is def not your typical I got scam story. I do recall Sean listing the item and saying the wires could be ordered from Defi.

GL to both of you

So he sent the gauges back to himself and he wants his money back?

Exactly I'm glad there are people on here that are will to see both side of the story before jumping to conclusions. I'm not here to scam anyone I was simply trying to help a friend of out. I sold the other 2 gauge plus the box with no problems what so ever.

Actually that address was the shipping address provided. He had over a week and a half to pick up the gauge. He did not nor answered phone calls. Again their goes the excuses. You NEVER said the wires had been spliced. You said one of the gauges the wire had been pulled out of one of the connectors. Not that the wires were all cut up and spliced together.

How do you possibly mix up BAR vs Imperial. Don't act as if this was a mix up on OUR part. That was YOUR guys fault that was not being easily fixed as it should!

I understand some of your points but sending the gauges back to yourself puts you in position where you can't get your money back....if there was a problem you should have just let them stay in the post office and take it up with paypal or something.

Dude go back and check the tracking number it said it said it was delivered on Sept 19 which was a Saturday. When I got to work on Monday I give Kurt the tracking number only to find out it went to the wrong address so it went back to the shipping company. On Tuesday I told you to give Kurt a call regarding this matter, Kurt told me he spoke to you on Wednesday and told you it will be a couple of days before he will pick it up only to find out YOU REQUESTED IT TO BE RETURNED BACK TO YOU. Why would you do this if you wanted a refund anyways I will have Kurt come on to chime in on this the thread you made for me.

Ah so the truth is finally coming except you have your facts mixed up. See the gauge did arrive on the 19th. Yesterday was the 28th and he had still yet to pick it up??? I spoke to him on Tuesday not Wednesday. I sent the gauge back to the appropriate return address on the box. How was I aware he doesn't always stay at that address? He should have specified that before I shipped it back. I gave him a week to pick the gauge up at which point he did not. Nor did he return any of my messages or you. Which you claim to not have internet at your house but I can see you log in everyday. Again make all the excuses you want but neither one of you followed through on your word. It's as simple as issuing a refund for your guys's mistake.

I have been selling and buying car parts on forums since the early 90's and never had a problem like this. Look at my feedback, I have been doing business here for more than a few years as well as many other sites. I gave you guys over 3 weeks to rectify this problem at which time you did not. I warned you of this possibly if you did take care of this in a timely manner. This is the outcome so don't seem shocked. Now that I have your attention maybe you will take me seriously???

lol..same thing happened to me with Evolution8RS who took my payment and didn't send out the item for over 2 weeks now. No pms, no emails whatsoever. I filed a claim on paypal.

I will have my defi gauges pulled out of my car in a week. You can buy mine. My oil pressure gauge is imperial and no wires have been cut
