Thumbs up Strictly Modified

So here is my review of Strictly Modified thus far.

While trying to find a few odd and end parts for my build I came upon Strictly Modified. Im not sure when I first contacted them but my best guess is about 5-6 months ago. Cisco promptly answered the phone, took my order (wastegate I believe) got my CC and everything is good, right? Wrong, it was the best vendor experience I have had on this forum. No BSing around, they gave me a ship date and time close to when it was suppose to be at my house and it was 2 days early, hows that for service?

Over the course of the last few months Cisco and myself have kept in contact about tuning my car. Now if you aren't up to speed on my build, well here it is:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-complete.html

I fianlly got the car where I thought it was ready for a tune. So I trailered the car down to their shop and dropped it off. Now mind you this was September 19th and it was on a Saturday whne they are closed. With prior arraingemnts I had Eric meet me there to get the ball rolling, let him know what I want done to the car and few things I want added to finish the engine bay. First off was a general lookover to see if I missed anything, and to get a break in tune for the engine. The rest was install the IAT, vent can, etc.

Apparently I missed quite a few things, some major, some minor things. But what gets me most is how in depth they go.

Fast forward to Friday (9-25-09) By this time Cisco has to be getting sick of me calling for updates, and I don't blame him. So he said the car will be ready Monday 9-28-09. Well a few issues came up so it was posponed a day, no big deal. So all yesteday I think Cisco called me about 7 times with hour by hour updates, which he didnt have to do. So I plan on being down there to take delivery of the car. Well on the way down I get the dreaded "We found a problem" call. Basically the AMS small battery finally died after 4 years. Since they still have the car getting the tweaks out of it, Im happy its in good hands.

To make the story short and sweet, they will always have my business.

To Cisco, Eric, Devin, and I just cant think of the techs name off the top of my head. When you guys head up here, were grilling out.

EDIT: Forgot to add, dont buy Peakboost stuff, it WILL cost you in the long run

Ill update this when I get the car back with the initial ride impressions. Im sure I will be more than happy.

Good review, I've been dragging my feet on having SM do my build. Everytime I think I'm ready to drop the car off, I order up some new parts and have to retune the car

Free bump for strictly modified!! They installed a clutch on my car and even though we ran into some problems they took care of them quickly and made sure I was accommodated since the car had to stay overnight! Found my new shop Thanks SM!

The customer service there is top notch. Cisco has to be getting sick of talking to me about my car, I've began calling and just asking random questions and not giving my name because I'm embarrassed, but I'm pretty sure he knows it's me.

Also he fixed up my ride for free because an intercooler coupling came off, and considering I'm such a noob he could have told me it was anything.

I'll be coming to you guys soon for a tune.

Seriously it means a lot to me to be able to walk into a shop and not be made to feel like an *******.

I read through the whole build thread. Did you guys take it to P & L and get it dyno tuned or are/did you do street tuning for this beast?

The car was not tuned for boost just drivability. I believe because of the time frame he is on, the wide open throttle tuning is being finished by dryad001. Cant wait to see the results.

It's actually still in the garage. Theres a foot of snow in front of the door so I couldnt get it out if I wanted to. Im just going to wait until after winter to finish up the car tuning wise.

Next week is the start of the clutch change. Im thinking about sending the tranny and t-case back to shep to make sure they are both in good order.

Once I get time Cisco, I still want the Boomba TB.

The manifold and 02 housing has a hard time mounting to "stock" location points. But after a ton of money was wasted to get it to fit properly, and Cisco can attest to it. It wasn't worth it IMO.

I sent a e-mail to Peakboost numerous times but haven't heard back from them. They really aren't known for customer support. The next manifold I am going to build myself. I have a different idea than the FF type manifolds that are out now.
