Gruppe-S :(
I have ordered a couple of times from them before. No problem at all.
But this time they might have been changed...
here is the story short. Whoever considers buying from them something, be aware of my story...
I did order spark plugs from them once, on July 13, 2009.
They sent me 1 piece / i misunderstood their website and i thought it was a set/
Anyway, it took them over a month to deliver it to me.
So when i got the one in Aug. 24, 2009 ; i had to order another 3 of them, since my car has 4 cylinders.
After I sent them a couple of emails asking about the status of my order, this is the situation: I still don't have them today ...... even after the race and the tune .
Here is their last attempt to me via email
"Hello,
Forgive the delay. I have checked with HKS and it looks like they now have the plugs in. I am expecting them to drop them off to me me shortly. I will then be able to send them out to you. They should ship out in about 3-4 days. "
this was written on Mon 9/28/2009 1:23 PM

And this was after i had to ask them again where my spark plugs were, since i got no updates from them whatsoever.
I even wrote this letter to them:
"
Hi Guys!
I did order the HKS spark plugs a really long time ago now… And my tune - practice day comes up in the Aug 14th.
If you can’t send me the spark plugs before that , please cancel and refund my order. Also notify me via email.
If you can send out the spark plugs in time, so I can use them in the practice day , please do so asap.
The spark plugs needs to be here before Augustus 13th 6pm.
Best regards Robert"
This was their response:
"Hello Robert. It seams as though the plugs have gone out regular postal on 8/08/09. I expect the packing to be there either the 13th or the 14th.

LOL @ This thread. Nothing new from Gruppe-S. I remember them when they were a LLC up here in Nor-California (Hayward). The only reason anyone went there and became an established name in the industry was because of Mike Warfield and there tunning/mechanic side of the business.
Sorry to hear about your poor experience, though honestly it doesn't surprise me.
If you want solid customer service, and a descent price on parts check out SpeedElement from Fremont, CA (google them, because I cant link them as they are not a vendor here on EVOM). Rob and Dev will take good care of ya, and make sure you get whatever you need, as well as any insights you might have on your upgrade needs.

this post was a pain to read, please re-type.
Gruppe-s has been nothing but fast with my orders. Call them and take it up with them there is really no point in venting on a forum, making the issue public. If you can't handle it with them then contact the BBB or something, I find this way of complaining to be tactless and rude.

Fyi, i did both, as you can see. I also sent them not one or two emails.
The point of the thread is to make others aware it can happen to them too.
Why wouldn't post it? this is a community which has to discuss bad and good things. So the whole forum can move forward to a better place...
Not sharering legit or provable bad things doesn't solve problems. Facts creates even more.
If you find my thread rude then i'm sorry, it meant to be informative...
Also how rude and tactless can I be after I have called and emailed them several times, and I still dont have my money or my order after several months and tries...And after this long patient wait, I think I am being very generous about it, still!
Remember we are talking about spark plugs ...

thanks for your opinion anyway.

+1 for speedelement. Dev is a stand up guy, great service. I didnt know gruppe-S started out in Hayward? Is Mike Warfield the guy who owns GST now? I will say that USPS out here in Cali sucks. I have ordered from MAP out in MN via fed ex and it gets here faster than usps from Fremont, LOL..
