The S-Techs look nice, but they go a little to low if you plan on being serious. It's harder to fit wide tires with the big drop. A dremel tool is a great way to cut the bump stop (be careful of melting plastic debris).

ChrisS, please comment on the changes in ride quality and overall handling with your new springs.

The alignment specs are the same after the springs are installed. -1 camber front and back, zero toe front and back. Sometimes the camber in back can only reach -.5 or so on lowered Evos, thats fine. These settings will give excellent tire wear and stock like steering and handling. Be careful when entering and leaving driveways, you now will scrape the front very easily with S-Techs. I changed to H-techs (not as low but similar feel) to somewhat alleviate this issue, but it can still scrape if you are not paying attention.

Cool

Well I've had the springs on my car about... 7 months. Overall the quallity of the springs is ok. The ride is a lot more bumpy now. Im almost certain my shocks are shot. The bumpiness of the ride doesn't really bug me at all. The right rear sometimes bottoms out when I hit a bump in the road (due to bad shock).

The perfomance of the car doesn't seem to be bad at all, but I have not taken it to an Auto-x to actually give numbers, just drive it around town and some twisties up in the mountains and it makes me happy.

The $150 or so I spent on the springs was a good deal.

If your looking more for a performance upgrade more than an apperance upgrade, go with some other brand (or coilovers for the best)

To sum it up, Im happy with the ride, and very happy with the look......

Oh ya.... I scrape a lot too... My drive way really sucks, angle turn, reverse, etc.... still scrape the front....but o well..

************************************************** **************

About the bumpstops, I just used a sharp knife to cut them (easy)..(the amount to cut should of came with the springs)

And as far as alingment go, you can get it pretty close to stock numbers, there is plenty of room for adjustment under there!

****DXL007 Did any one need to replace the strut? It is longer than the lower spring right? Also I replaced my frount springs and the are making a noise ike there not seated yet? Any thoughts??? *****

Did you make sure they were "seated" in the rubber bushing up there? Is it making noise when going over a bump? Just try and reach under there and twist it, you might need to jack it up then do this, if this does not solve problem you could get some type of rubber tubing to put up between the top two coils of the spring and it should take care of the problem.... good luck
