Energy Suspension Bushings
Energy Suspension Bushings
Asked a suspension shop about installing ES front lower control arm bushing set (http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/5.3133) and the gentleman over the phone recommended not installing them. He tells me the polyurethane bushings eventually dry out and cause problems. I'am thinking If it's a lubrication problem than re lubing it would solve the issue. The recommendation has surprised me as the shop in question is a well respected shop.
Wanted to get feedback from owners who are running ES bushings on their front lower control arms. Any problems/issues after long term use?

The larger front CA bushings are spherical bearings like Sloap said and are not recommended to replace as the factory bushings are superior. The smaller 2 piece bushings are more difficult to install because of the geometry of the LCA.
The black ES bushings are impregnated with graphite to help with squeaking/lubrication. I'd buy those over the reds given the choice.
I've got the rear diff and rear trailing arm bushings along with the whiteline roll center kit installed and am very pleased with it so far. Most people will recommend the rear trailing arm, roll center kit and rear bump steer bushings first. The rear diff bushings will help with partial throttle bucking. I'm planning to do the mustache bar and rear bump steer bushings next.

Here's more info on the rear diff bushings:

Imo,
The BEST = Ralliart bushings (they are harder rubber and OEM quality)
http://www.rhdjapan.com/ralliart-pil...rear-ct9a.html
http://www.rhdjapan.com/ralliart-bus...ront-ct9a.html
2nd best = Perrin PSRS + caster
http://www.gotboostinc.com/pepostrekitm.html
After that, just get normal OEM replacements.
