Energy Suspension Bushings?
Energy Suspension Bushings?
Has anyone installed these with their shortshifter yet? I'm going to install today after work and was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions. Any help is much appreciated!
I had to use a screwdriver to put the sleeve in the bushing. It was easy when the bushing was out of the hole but it’s hard as hell to put it in that way. Best bet put the bushings in the hole in the shifter base and slide the sleeves in with the use of a flat head screwdriver make its go so mush easier. If there is a better way tell me !

They replace the 4 bushings around the bolts holding the plastic shifter mount to the floor of the car. What does that do for us? Means less play in the movement of the shifter housing, which in turn means slightly tighter shifts.
--It also allows the slap of each shift to slightly reverberate through the car because it essentially eliminates any give the shifter mount has between it and the floor.
Install is just a few minute process...remove the four bolts, and the two bolts holding the shifter cable guide...remove the medal sleeves, remove the old rubber bushings, put the medal sleeves in the new bushings, push them through the holes (from the top down) and put the bushing rings around the new bushings - reinstall the bolts and you're set. You only need two sockets - 10mm & 12mm...
