ULTRA RACING 2 POINT Rear Strut (Boot) Bar [UR-RE2-139]
Just installed this part, stay tuned and i'll let you know how it goes.
I've been mostly a lurker on the forums since 04' but i've amassed a collection of some cool stuff for our cars.
As you know, the aftermarket for our generation RAs is basically none...Recently i've tapped into the Malaysian market for our CS3/CS5 chassis where the aftermarket and tuner scene is fairly large. Still doing some searching of the Malaysian and PR market for our cars and i've come across some treats that I can hopefully share with you all soon, this part being one of them.
The official name seems to be sort of a misnomer since this isn't actually a true "strut bar". And to be honest with you all, i'm not entirely sure if this even adds any true structural rigidity to the frame/chassis. But oh well, it looks cool and it was surprisingly cheap (shipping included) all the way from Malaysia.
Onto the photos!

Some minor shipping issues as seen in the photos, but nothing too harsh. Install was straightforward...Did it by myself, but a helper would have been nice. Seems to be of fairly good quality, welds are okay, but feels quite strong.

Thanks for sharing. I'm studying your pics again as I've become interested in trying to design simple but effective bracing.
You have the same attitude as me: don't know if it does anything but worth a try. And Ultra parts look proper.
Useful braces are nowhere near as noticable as, say, a bigger rear sway bar, but observing my car's response they make it feel more like "one solid piece". All the small things we do add up.
I'll try for a back-to-back comparison with a stock RA sometime.
