That I did! Piston 1 looked to be okay, and I too don't understand how compression is bad in that cylinder as well. The only thing I can think of is that the piece of piston broke off and got lodged in between the piston and the valve which caused the timing to jump(?) Compression was low in 2 & 3 so thats the only thing I can think of.

If you guys have any other theories please let me know. I'm working on getting it towed back to CBRD so that they can take a look at it.

Well looks like I'm going long block shopping. Rebuild is $9k for parts and labor. Engine replacement is $2k labor for install, fluids and **** + cost of the engine.

Anybody have any better places to look or is eBay the best bet? I'm looking for a drop in replacement.

Daytona Mitsubishi, who is on eBay as well, has OEM crate motors ready to drop in for $4700 or so without turbo or clutch and $5300 or so with turbo and clutch.

Thanks guys, I found one listed from a 2012 that has 20k miles on it for $4500, includes everything. Its from a MR though so I'm assuming I'll have to use my GSR wiring harness?

Also, I'm taking the old engine home with my and I'll probably part it on the classifieds so let me know if you need anything!

I originally thought that too, but the $4,500 includes everything, turbo included and the shipping. The new engine is $4,700 without the turbo, and $450 shipping on top of that lol

Heres the one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/272249584439?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Also, I'm thinking this may have been the cause: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-4b11-ttp.html

Why get a used 20k engine with everything for $4500 when you can get a brand new OEM create motor (sans clutch and turbo) for $4700?

I would love to, but $4700 is just the engine, shipping is another $500. My budget is already over $2000 as it is lol

Just so you know that listing you linked:

"!!!PRICE QUOTED IS ONLY TO A BUSINESS ADDRESS!!
SHIPPING TO A RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS IS AN EXTRA $100.00
ANY ADDRESS REQUIRING A LIFT GATE SERVICE IS AN EXTRA $100.00"

Always read the fine print on eBay listings.

Personally I would have no problem spending an extra $700 for a brand new complete OEM motor than a used 20k motor that I have no idea the health of, but that's just me...

That's to a residential address. Shipping was free to CBRD.
