Inner transfer case seal direction
I'm replacing the inner axle seal on the transfer case. I have the cover off the transfer case and want to know what direction does the seal go down in it towards the axle

The manual is not as clear as I would like but your photo below looks like the oil side for sure

3rd pic is inside the transfer case dif cover. you are correct, there is no info on orientation for this seal. I had the dealership install both and one of the 2 are leaking

i've replaced it, the way the pic has it in the case is correct. but its leaking because the splines of the axle chewed up the lips.
