Replace non-ACD transfer case w/ACD transfer case

I have a 2003 Evo VIII with a non-ACD transfer case that is on it's last legs. Can someone tell me if I can upgrade to a later model transfer case with ACD? What are the complications?

Thanks for your help.

a center diff. new wire, acd pump and tank and also a acd computer and a new drive shaft. oh. I think you need a new ecu also. new dash board that will display the setting. maybe a new tranny, new front and rear diff that will work with the acd, i think.

I don't believe it's that involved. Although, the center diff + ECU with a ACD controller is the far least.

Better off getting a 35/65 or 25/75 front to rear(respectively) mechanical diff for some drifting fun on the track. It's much easier and less expensive.

Its not worth it just get a shep rebuild or get a lsd swap which will make you car drive and shift like a champ. When i got my ralliart i said it can be all that then when i started taking sharp turn at a high rate of speed thats where it all paid off.

buy a transfer case for an 04 rs, you get the limited slip front diff. and its not acd... by the way the center diff is in the trans. you would not have to replace it

Thanks, Guys

You have told me enough to decide that it's not worth the trouble. I already have an LSD upgrade, so I'll stay with the same setup. Now I need to find an economical source for a rebuild. I appreciate your help!
