Swift vs tein springs

So i was looking at getting tein s. Springs but everyone says how crappy they are via ride and how they mess your struts up.

So now im looking at getting swifts. Which one would be better on a DD? Spec-R or Sport.

I've never driven in another lowered Evo, but Ive had a lot of lowered vehicles and I must say my Evo on swift springs rides nice.

drop is virtually identical between the two, the sports are just a bit softer than the spec-r

i'd get spec r. evo already rides like ****, you're not really going to notice the difference in every-day driving between the two

I would highly recommend these: https://www.maperformance.com/produc...o-8-9-6041-140

Spec-R's are a great options for enjoying a comfortable stock ride and towards the limit of handling, they firm up incredibly well, though the on center feeling isn't quite as precise and I like. Swift is extremely high quality though.

I can't weigh in on the Tein's as much for this chassis unfortunately, but the Eibach is my favorite due to their all around feel, quality, price, and performance seems to be everywhere. Very predictable. That said, they also don't lower as much as others.

Imo, GTworx make the best handling "lowering" springs for the Evo http://www.gtworx.com/index.php/cata.../category/219/

I have driven a 9 on swift spec-r, eibachs, and the GTworx springs.

Ah! I always forget about those as I guess I don't associate them with lowering, but yes great stuff!

Im going to have to disagree with this. My spec Rs didnt drop nearly as much as the Tein. Ive had both now and i HATE the TEIN.

In the OP he says he's not looking at Tien springs, only Swift and asks about the Sports vs the Spec-R's.

Have Swift sports on my car, were actually recommended to me by GT Worx!! Having had 2 sets of 1k coilovers and Tanabe springs before them on the stock kyb's. Now having the Swift Sports on MR Bilsteins is the best the car ever felt on the road and in a corner.
