I am buying some RPF1's next week and would like some help. I have searched pictures and i just cannot find what I am looking for without digging through hundred of pages of threads...
I want to get RPF1's in 17s. I want to fit the stock body but at the same time fill it out some. The tires i was going to run are NT555 in 255/45/17.
I believe i want 17x9 +35 but I am curious if that will require a spacer? The main issue is the RPF1 face. I need to make sure this offset has the flat face and not curved spokes that the bad offsets sometimes have. Any help or pictures is greatly appreciated.
The picture attached is the ideal look I am going for.
17x9 +35 has a nice flat face and will require a 20mm spacer in the front to clear the stock Brembos. No spacer or modifications necessary for the rear.
I'm running this setup and actually thinking about getting the STM small brake kit for the front to ditch the spacers and move the front wheels in 20mm. It doesn't look terrible, but the front wheels stick out a little too much IMO. Referencing the picture you posted, I'd say my front wheels stick out about the same.

17x9 +35 with a 20mm front spacer and 10mm rear spacer. Fortune Auto Coilovers w/ front camber plates. 255/40 Nitto NT555 tires. Rear fenders rolled. Still rubs slightly on hard dips but not enough for me to care.
Just be careful w/this example. Its clear to me that the white RS is likely running a rear spacer as well. Look at the rear fender gap. Its gapped for a reason (rub) & a poor example of a proper function fit
Also, as noted, that 20mm spacer has changed the front offset to +15 & that bulbous 45 series tire spec has only made the situation worse. Stick w/a 40 series tire
RPF1 17x9.5 20mm spacer up front none in the rear and no rub and no rolled fenders. I'm wanting to add a 5mm rear spacer but haven't gotten around to it yet. I do have Hotchkis springs and alignment too. I wouldn't run a tire with a 45 profile try 40 it will be much better.

Your best bet is to follow the proven RPF1 fit-ups like the above. +22 is super tough to fit correctly. If I remember correctly the proper staggered RPF1 setup is +18 up front (no spacer) & +38 in the rear. Check the RPF1 threads!
My issue is i dont want to run a 20mm spacer at all... I had TE37s 18x9.5 +22 with a 265/35 tire and it rubbed in the back but not horrible. I dont get why a 17x9 +22 with a 245/40 tire would not fit.. The rears on my car are already rolled but i refuse to pull them just trying to fit everything nicely without throwing a huge spacer on
The 17x9 +22 still requires a spacer. Check the Rpf1 thread. I believe a 10mm if I remember correctly.

Correct, 17x9 +22 requires a 10mm spacer.
Less spacer, yes, but a 17x9 +22 with a 10mm spacer will actually stick out 3mm further than a 17x9 +35 with a 20mm spacer. A 3mm difference is fairly negligible, so as long as you don't care how far the fronts stick out, and are more concerned with running less spacer, go with the 17x9 +22.
This is my fitment, 17x9 +35 like others have mentioned already. Since I'm not a fan of running bolt on spacers, I opted out in switching the studs to the ARP extended studs. In the rear, I'm running a 15mm spacer to try and get more of a squared setup. In the front I'm running no fender liner at all (CA car) so no rubbing issues there. In the rear, fenders are rolled. Also tires are 255/40/17 RS3s in the picture but now I have evo v12s, same size.
BTW I know the owner of the original picture posted. Same specs, but said he had 245/45/17 tires
