Couple ways but most put the alternator where solenoid/coil is:

You mean the heavy altenator wire that goes to distribution block to the ignition coil pole only or starter solenoid pole only?

Do you think it would reach your helmet?

My concern is reducing repair costs from any on-track mishap.

My guy did it with the heavy alt wire. I kinda like the idea better because it's not just the engine then.

I would think pulling the fuse would do it. You'll have the SRS light of course. I'd disconnect the batt before putting it back in though just to be sure.

Disconnect the sensor under the seat. Will disable the system because of the fault. You'll have the SRS light, but no ABS light.

^Which sensor are yo referring to? Im guessing there is a airbad sensor thingy and that's what you guys are talking about here? I can't picture what is under my seat right now.

I unplugged the seatbelt wire so my car doesn't yell at my when Im wearing harnesses. I assumed, guessing hoping praying that all that did is stop it from beeping and has no other effect on airbags. I know it didnt mess with my ABS but I dont really know how to test if my airbags work other than not seeing any ABS fault codes and/or putting the thing into a wall.

Our cars "should" have second generation airbags, which have a weight sensor in the seat to determine the deployment speed of the bag. Unplugging the seat belt sensor connector should also set a fault, which would disable to system.

Deployment speed!? Man wtf are you talking about...thats a thing!? I thought the speed of airbags was almost instant. I'd assume thats the case or else what good to they serve if its not moment of impact? I can see a weight sensor making sense as if nobody is sitting in the passenger seat then why bother having the bad deploy?

But Im glad this topic is now being brought back up because its always something that I worried about and then came to the conclusion that I should just not crash. I do know that it hasnt set off any codes that I know of. And there are no dummy indication lights on the dash.

Man the more I think about this the more it makes sense that the airbag shouldnt go off if the seatbelt isnt latched. Hmmm maybe l'll have to plug it back in and buy a fake belt clip thing moving forward.
