Threads long and didn't see this mentioned when I skimmed. Could I fit 18x9.5 +15 only using the fender mod? No fender rolling.

+15 is really frowned on by the function group. Really, any offset lower than +25 is going to be very tough to fit w/out a lot of rear fender work

A +15 would need the full rear treatment. Tight rear roll, rear fender pull & the relocation of the bumper bolt & running camber way over -2.0 degrees

Thanks.

Forgot about this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...x9-5-15-a.html. Doesn't seem bad only rolled and -2 camber.

I know that thread & its deceiving in some regards. Just note that running the +15 will be a show fit & the wheel assy will never be able to compress fully into the wheel well w/out rub

Might as well go 18x10 +38. I didn't have to do much to get them to fit, just a roll in the back and spacers f/r. Camber is very street friendly (about -2f/-1r), nothing retarded looking. For more low I'll need to fender mod the front and do some work inside the wheel well. Rears are as low as I want to go as it is.

Thanks guys. Guess I should of did a little more research before I bought them. So what I have now is Enkei RPF1's 18x9.5 +15 with 245/35 actually wheels from the link I provided. I'm more function over looks but this is what I'm working with now.

That being said what if I did the fender mod up front + rolled. Then in the back rolled and pulled, think could I get away without negative camber or something reasonable -1? I purchased the car from someone else and it has Crucial lowering springs and stock Bilsteins, about 1 finger gap. Would Tein flex coilovers help because I was considering them.

I had an EVO 10 in 2008 and just bought this 8 so I'm trying to refresh myself on these vehicles.

Thanks

Great to hear that youre more function / form In any event, this is what you should be striving for, in the way of fitment. Heres a pic of my old street setup showing the rear strut removed. The wheel assy is pushed into the well, simulating a large compression bump & looking for any rub points (the rears have about 10 hours labor in rolling, pulling, bumper bolt relocation & few other tricks)

Damn 10 hours wasn't expecting that. Maybe better off selling these if it takes that much work. That being said the roads are really good where I live and it's not my DD. I don't think I would ever experience a full suspension workout. Is the bumper bolt relocation a bolt right on the edge of the bumper closest to the tire?

If you have thoughts of running this EvO on the track or aggressive street driving, the +15 is not good. If you can sell them, that would be best IMHO (its your call for sure)

Heres a pic of the bumper bolt re-location

Thanks for all the info. I called Moore and I'm going to have them look at it early next month. I'm not opposed to chopping some stuff up to make it fit and still perform.

That is My Specs for my setup. But I also have a Evo V, so the front k frame and suspension is an older model. But the offset difference from a Evo V and a Evo 8 isnt anything more than 3mm. But I can't remember for sure its been 8 years since i measured it.
