I realized while doing this that my harnesses are different lol.
I have an 05' with ACD. What I didn't think of was that this particular harness that I bought off of a parts car, -came from a non-ACD car.

Totally different pinouts. Some stuff is correct, some isn't. And as of right now my car is sitting 8ft in the air getting an engine rebuild and won't be back for 3-4 weeks from now.

So I'm kinda at a standstill on finishing the harness until my car is back home.

I will however work on the cluster housing later this weekend and get the fitment and look dialed in where I want it.

Good luck! This is a very interesting cluster swap. I had also done a DC2 to S2K cluster swap a while ago, but never got the adjuster for the speedo.

What's up guys. Finally got around to going to the shop where my evo has spent the past 6 months at collecting dust... 2.0 build and all that boring ****.
sleeping beauty over here. except it probably has a few pounds of dust on it.

anyways.

Took my OEM cluster and cluster shroud out. I'll try and find some time this weekend to make my custom "housing" for the S2K cluster. RIP to my dash.
I missed sitting in here lol.

I finished the majority of the wiring harness, but I'll have to wait until my evo is back in my driveway before I can actually get around to testing connections... I'm expecting my high beams to turn on my windshield wipers or some weird **** the first time around... we'll see.

Thanks to those of you who took up interest in this little project. It makes it a little more fun having someone else interested in what I'm working on.

I'm retarded and bought the wrong size dremel disks.

but whatevs, you probably get where this is going.

Aviation scissors are nice to have.
Going to go buy more disks tomorrow to smooth this out.

might be able to get some of the cluster swap done once it's back at my house.

going kinda nuts without my car hobby lately.
New LED lights from @illumaesthetic.
LOVE these.
If you want to check out their functions hit up my IG @evo.cc.

Cool! Another Evo in Hawaii. May I ask what shop is working on your car? I don't know of any shops here that work on Evos. BTW love the S2K cluster. Can't wait to see it in your Evo.

Yeah, I hope this works and is not too difficult to do. I look over at the red Evo speedometer and its like its not even there - I can't see it. I run a gps on my windshield at all times just to know my speed.

right?

90% of the time I have no idea how fast I'm going just by looking at the speedo.
It's so dim.
There's other ways you can improve it...different colored templates, LED installs, etc.

If this doesn't work out the way I'd like I'll probably end up swapping the template and installing LEDs.

****ty template ft. Cat

Need to make another one and smooth it out more. But this is the general idea for the template backing.

still waiting on my car to come home to actually do any real work with this.

Dang, I thought I was the only one w/trouble seeing the speedo

Heres my poor mans solution. 2 arrows, 1 @ 40ish & the other at 70.

I really should put one at 100, as I hit that mark quite frequently
