Tuning in Philly
Finally broke down and did some bolt-on mods to the Evo. It took about 4000 miles, couldnt hold back any longer, screw the warranty. Anyway this past weekend I installed a hallman boost controller (set @ 20 psi), drop-in K&N filter, catchcan, and a Buschur 3" turboback w/ highflow cat. There was a noticeable gain
.
Now to my point for posting. I going to install a fuelpump & some cams next and am in the hunt for a shop to flash / dyno tuning. I did a search and found Precision Dyno in North East Philly. The Ecutek flashes look pretty good. Also Turbotrix and Dynoflash, but I dont want to drive 2 1/2 hours away if their is a good tuner in my area(philly) Does anyone have any experience with them Precision, and if so what are their prices like for a tune and possibly a cam install?
Any feed back would be greatly appreciated! This is my first post, I have found everything I needed to know so far through search. But not enough personal experience with precision to satisfy me.
Thanks

All of the tuners you listed are good tuners. Precision is down the street from you and they do a excellent job. just call Nick and he will give you the details on pricing. The ecutek flashes are excellent, you will be happy with the tune from them. I have been very pleased with the work done on my car.
Nick's customer service is awsome!
ps in no way am I knocking any of the other tuners at all.

I was in the same place as you, didnt know who to trust with my car. Heard to many good things about pd tuning to not go there( plus now there in philly). My car went there bone stock, now Im making 300/310 with minimal mods(mustang dyno) , no cams, just a great ecutek tune. Drives like stock. These guys know everything about the evo, and have helped me with every problem or question I have encountered with open arms, and have not found a better price either. thanks pd tuning.

My IX with the Ecutek flash and basic bolt-on's is putting down 316 HP on a Mustang Dyno. If you have any ?'s feel free to PM me.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Precision sounds like the best place for me. Everyone who posted their experience with them seem to be very happy, and made some nice gains from their tuning. Especially on a mustang which seem to give a bit lower hp/trq measurements, than other dynos or so it seems.
Nick pm'ed me, so once I give him a call, set up a time to do it and get everything completed, I will post some numbers. Thanks again for your help and Ill be back soon with some numbers.

Had a great experience on Wednesday at PrecisionDynoTuning in Philly. When I first got there we got the car up on the Mustang Dyno and Nick started with the EcuTek. Without alcohol injection Nick was able to get me 342whp and 327tq at 23lbs boost.
Then we went ahead and connected the SMC alcohol injection kit with 100% methanol.
At 26lbs of boost nick was able to pull 371.8whp 366.2tq!!!
Unfortunately we couldn't boost any higher because the EcuTek wasn't able to remap my MAF to allow higher boost.
However Nick contacted me today and told me he has a new rescaling for the EcuTek that will allow me to get up to approx. 30lbs boost with methanol.
Over all experience was great at PrecisionDynoTuning. I will be going back as soon as possible. Both Nick1 and Nick2 were great. They have a very laid back atmosphere in there shop that is very appealing to the consumer.
I highly recommend getting this EcuTek flash. You won't be disappointed.
Two thumbs up for PrecisionDynoTuning!

I went with Precision Dyno!!!
Just to update this thread, I went with Precision Dyno in Philadelphia for my cam install and ecutek flash on Saturday. I couldnt be happier with the choice you guys helped me make. The guys there are great and I made some very nice gains. With the Ecutek tune, 272 cams, and basic bolt-ons the car put down 320 whp & 320trq on Precision's mustang dyno. I will post the dyno graph shortly.
I just wanted to thank everyone who pushed me toward Precision Dyno Tuning. I am glad that I took your advice!! I posted a more detailed thread in the Ecutek forum if you wish to check it out.
Thanks Guys
Bill
