I live in the Mainline outside Philly and am looking for a good dealer to have my Evo VIII MR serviced. I bought it at Faulkner, which is now gone. They had a guy called Chris Beumi (not sure the spelling) who did the Evo service and I found to be quite good. I had Dunphy Mitsubishi in Havertown do the last service ... car came back with the steering wheel alignment off ... rookie mistake. Besides, the owner just got arrested for fraud (or some such story). There's also Ambrosio Mitsubishi in Downingtown ... a little further, but not too bad if there's a good service guy there.

Anyone have any recommendations?

don't go to downingtown! the service manager there is a total tool. big waste of your time.

what do you have to get done?

if you have to go to the dealer i would take it to fred beans in doylestown. it is a bit far but i've alway been treated very nicely by mark linder in the service department there.

 

It doesn't need anything major, just scheduled maintenance and inspection.

Ugh ... Doylestown is pretty far.

yeah it is a b!tch. i know jnz tuning does the regular maintanence but i don't know about inspection. give them a call they're in hatfield-ish area. i would stay away from d-town though seriously - might as well do it yourself.

There are ZERO good places to service an evo in the philly area..All you can do it take it in and be VERY specific about what you want done and how you want your car treated..I used to go to faulkner in Philly before they closed down just like every other mtsu dealer..Try fred beans in doylestown I guess At least they have a decent parts dept.

 

I got mine at Jeff D's in Downingtown and they have been the dealership to do all the warranty maint. work. I have had zero issues with them.. Pete

 

if you don't mind the go to downtown chinatown i work at a shop there me and my boi have evos he can pass you if you need inspection+emission testing and a check up just let me know.

To the OP, you could take it there and most likely it will be ok. I would only do this if you're trying to keep your warranty, otherwise f-em , change the oil yourself and any shmo can do a state insp...

 

I specialize in Evolutions and have done countless EvoM and other Evo community members Evos. Anything from regular maintenance to full stroker builds. Basically anything that has been done to an Evo I have done and several times over.

I work out of Sellersville, PA for those of you interested (about 45 mins. north of center city).

I take mine to Fred Beans in Doylestown. They always are very professional and I haven't had a single problem with them, never any hassle about mods. Although mine are light and I haven't asked for any major warranty work. But if you want a dealer certified to service your Evo. I think it is a pretty good place to go for the greater Philly region.

 

+1 on fred beans. i talked to the service manager and he sounds relatively reasonable about mods to a certain degree. i've also been told about a mitsu dealership in york area that work on modded evos quite regularly and are pretty lenient.
