crutchfield install pages 02+ lancer

i dug these up for another member and i figured there were plenty of other guys out there who could benefit from it, so here it is, the entire install booklet from crutchfield.













just to make this our one-stop stereo shop, here's the stock wiring harness info from the member "diamondstar03" here oin evom.

"FUNCTION PIN WIRE COLOR
Accessory 12 Volt 11 BU/YW
Constant 12 Volt 10 RD/BK
Chassis Ground BODY
Power Antenna 4 YW
Remote
Illumination 3 GN/WT
Dimmer 9 BK/YW
FUSE VALUE FUSE LABEL FUSEBOX LOCATION
10 AMP #17 DRIVER'S SIDE UNDER HOOD
10 AMP #18 DRIVER'S SIDE UNDER HOOD

If the vehicle is equipped with six-speakers, the tweeters will be wired in parallel with the door woofers. Front speaker wire colors are the same at the tweeter and woofer locations.

Left Front Spkr + 2 RD/WT
Left Front Spkr - 8 RD/BU
Right Front Spkr + 1 RD
Right Front Spkr - 7 GN
Left Rear Spkr + 5 WT/BU
Left Rear Spkr - 13 YW/RD
Right Rear Spkr + 6 L.GN
Right Rear Spkr - 14 YW/GN
At Speaker YW/BK
At Speaker YW/RD
At Speaker L.GN
At Speaker YW/GN"

good luck with the install, i have not heard anything about any kind of immobilizer on our cars. if there was one i'm sure i would have tripped it by now somehow. i've done all my own audio work and i have a ton of wires behind my head unit. most of those are because i ran high level input to my second amp and then back when i amplified my speakers.

awesome. very beneficial post.

though i will add (and i'm not being an *** here) the install is one of the simplest things ever - even without the sheets. i wish all the cars i've owned/will own could be as straight forward for replacing the headunit and speakers.

yeah, i never even glanced at these pages during my installs, but i knew that they'd be able to help some guys out. i know when i did speakers on my subaru a few years ago when i was first starting out with all this doing my own work i definitely needed a helping hand.
