Yeah, well anyway it seems logical that in their effort to bring order to chaos, Mitsubishi will try and make sens of trim levels throughout the brand... DE, ES, GS, GT, GTS, RalliArt and EVO* would be the same type of trim level for all models.

* I think Evolution is used for other models in other markets... I think one of their light truck has an EVO trim level... maybe I'm mistaken.

Who said they where? I thought it was clear to everyone that it is the new base model Lancer...

The new EVO will be dual exhaust, retains Brembo brakes and the likes... as seen in spyshots from Europe (when they tested the new tranny). The general shape of the car is very close to the base model though... so the body kit, front fascia and the likes will probably be what sets it appart from the rest of the lancer line-up...

I identified the interesting stuff for you guys...

Unless this is the new RalliArt of course...

They did do a Pajero (Montero) Evolution. It was powered by a N/A 3.5L DOHC MIVEC V6.

if u look at the blue pic of the 'lancer' i think there is a hit of cooler piping towards the bottom right (your right while looking at the pic).
and also does n e one know if the fog lights will retain on the cars when they come to aus!?!?

I don't know about the fogs being on the AUS version, but that's no FMIC, just a clean looking radiator...

Maybe I'm wrong, but if the Evo and RA use the same engine, then I'd assume that both would have the IC in the same location? If they do a top mount, then the hood would have to do a scoop via STI or the cowl induction via MazdaSpeed3.

I'm going to make another assumption that the Evo HAS to have a front IC just out of tradition and expected performance. I suppose the RA could be diff, but I would think Mitsu would save a little cash in making them as similar as possible.

Someone asked about the RA being turbo'd for sure... well if the 240hp numbers are correct, there's no other way to make that kind of power out of a reliable and affordable 2.0L engine.

well who said the ralliart is going to be IC, this isnt on fact im just proposing this but what if the ralliart is just a nonintercooled turbo version of the lancer...

Doubt the new Ralliart or Evo will have a top mount IC. It is easier to use a top mount IC on a boxer engine than on a straight 4 configuration.

I don't think Mitsu would come out with a non-IC setup...you may be right, but if I were to guess, I would think that the new RA would have a smaller IC and turbo than the EvoX, along with being de-tuned.
