AMS Tune Results from Fayetteville, NC
As promised in the tune thread here are my results from the AMS tuning performed by Chris at our local performance shop, H&H Performance.
The dashed line is my baseline run with 340hp/267tq and the solid line is my final tune with 369hp/286tq weather corrected on a Mustang Dyno. As you can see I gained 29hp/19tq over 6 seperate pulls. My car had already been flashed with most of my current mods so the gains weren't as dramatic had I been flashed from a stock ECU. This tune is on 93 octane from BP/Amoco.
And if anyone cares to know what my uncorrected numbers were, I can get those. At one point I hit 396/305 uncorrected but it ended up around 389 after some tweaking to get the torque and hp up over the entire range. The little bump you see in the 5900 rpm range is certainly felt in the car as it pushes you further into the seat on the top end. My car is a beast! Chris estimates that my car would put 405-410 hp on the AMS dynojet. Our Mustang dyno reads pretty low here so don't jump the gun on us and say that our numbers don't match our mods.
Anywho, since everyone is going to ask I will give you my power mod list.
2003 Evo VIII
AMS 50 trim turbo kit
AMS IC and Piping
GSC 272 cams
AMS Race Head
AMS 3" TBE with resonated TP
MR diverter valve
Greddy Profec B Spec II EBC at 23psi
Fidanza Cam gears set to -3i/0e
A big thanks goes out to all of you who participated in this event, you guys rock and I'm glad to have met those of you I didn't already know.
Also thank you to H&H Performance in Fayetteville, NC for giving us an awesome group rate and letting us keep them open all weekend!
And of course, thanks to Chris at AMS for making the long drive from Chicago, pulling two 10 hour days and half a day on Monday. I've heard nothing but good reviews from the guy's you've tuned. You're a great asset to the Evo community and we all appreciate your time. Thanks to AMS for providing us this opportunity.
Now, lets see some other dyno sheets from the rest of you guys. If you don't have a scanner, just put up some numbers.

Mods. - HKS TBE, HKS intake, Walbro FP, Apexi GT DP, UR Hi Flo Cat....
Still have to install my IC piping, Forge MBC, and get my new AMS FMIC.
