For actual shifter bushings that go on the transmission under the hood, we are the only ones that have 6 speed bushings.

I looked at the link. Finally, someone else made them other than us........haha.

In response to the desription on their site about using brass. You'd have to be a moron to use steel for making the shift bushings.

We make all of our shift bushings from aluminum, they wil not rust or bind up. They are also lighter than any other material that could be used for the application.

I have the Buschur underhood ones and really like them. Haven't seen or tried the other ones but would def recommend the Buschurs.
Don't have any shifter base ones though so can't help you there.

Ive got the Kartboy base bushings installed, and the Speed Source bushings will get installed when I do my clutch install next week. I did have to make the holes in the base slightly larger to use the Kartboy bushings. A pass or two with a dremel did it. And they fit super tight. I cant honestly say that I noticed that much difference with just the base bushings. It might feel a little bit more solid, but not much. You can definitely "see" the difference when you try to tweak the base with your hand before and after the install, but it doesnt feel as different as I thought it would.

^^Yup. But I never read anything about having to modify the base. The kartboy bushings are about 1mm too big. And were impossible to fit without enlarging the base holes.

Anyone else want to chime in on having to modify the base?

funny that you post in my thread. when i first bought me evo i called your "customer support" and was goin to go with one of your staged packages. most rude people i have ever talked with in my life. decided i wasnt goin to give you my business so i have pieced my car together by many vendors goin with the lowest cost on the same part. i recently call back into inquire about an item and i get talked to like i am a five year old calling for a stripper. i will have to sit and think if i am goin to give you any of my money. /rant

Bigballin,

Sorry to hear you have a bad experience. You can search around the forums and see that your situation is odd. Having the same experience at our shop twice makes me wonder how you came across when you called as having a bad experience twice is even odder. Sure you were rude to start with? I give my guys "permisssion" to be an ******* if they are treated like one. Not saying that is what happened but having a bad experience at our shop two times is hard to believe.

Sorry to hear you have built your EVO using parts from many vendors at the lowest cost. I can assure you that your car is slower from doing this..........atleast you saved yourself some money though!

I hope my post has added to your positive experience with our shop.

By the way, there are no strippers at our shop, not during the day anyway.
