Review Exedy Twin Disc HD + Chris@nolimitmotors
I sent Chris@nolimitmotors a pm about getting the clutch, quickly got a response with pricing. I placed my order and received the clutch within a week, fantastic job, it couldn't have gone smoother.
now to the good stuff, my long time good friend Dave at D and B auto ( http://memphiscarrepair.net ) in Memphis did the clutch install for me. We trade out transmission work for tuning work and also he sponsors my forum ( www.racevideoforums.com ). Everything went smooth until the stock TOB decided it didn't want to come off, but they got it sorted out after a few tries. Apparently it's pretty tricky with these cars. I founds some good tips and tricks on evom to make it easier.
I picked up the car and noticed right away that there is a very very subtle clutch chatter when the pedal is depressed and it goes away when you let the clutch pedal out. If anyone has a problem with that noise they need their head examined.. it's virtually non existent.
Pedal pressure is almost identical to stock. I put 135 city driving miles on it Thursday and didn't have a sore leg at all and I was obnoxious with the shifting. Often doing it when it wasn't necessary at all. After that I did a few street pulls but no hard launches, everything was perfect running through the gears, no missed shifts, clean disengagement. Friday I did more city driving and when I got to 185 miles I did a half assed launch at 4500 with a little slip, the car bogged hard so I'm feeling confident that it's ready for the real deal.
I set the 2-step to 5800 rpm, let it build boost, eased out on the clutch until the car started rolling and let the clutch out. To my horror the RPM's camped out at 7500 for what seemed like an eternity, finally spanked the limiter at 8k and I shifted. I thought to myself "damn I cooked the clutch"
I went back to the launch pad and saw some nice long black marks... that ***** didn't slip at all, the tires were silently roasting hahah
I started lowering the 2-step 100 rpm at a time until I finally found a shred of traction at 5300rpm, it probably doesn't help that my tires are worn out pretty badly from the Autox and my driving style.
I've since done maybe a dozen launches and it's still boiling the tires if I ease out on the clutch. If I let it out quickly it'll bog at 5300 so I prefer to spin. I'll do some more tweaking tonight but with the cold pavement and poor tires I probably won't have much better luck.
I can't stress enough how pleased I am thus far, stock driveability and kung fu grip!

Do u still have stock tranny and t-case? As long as you don't slip the clutch too quick u should be fine. I learned the hard way with only 4 launches at the track after the install trying to launch it like the stock clutch. Go figure

stock tranny and transfer case... I've been drag racing awd cars since the early 90's and that's one thing I've learned, you don't dump the clutch if you can't afford the repair bills
My stealth is rocking the stock t-case from 1991 and it has 550awhp on pump gas and ~700awhp on c16 and weighs 3775lbs with me in it... it's all about how you launch. A friend of mine has gone though a half dozen t-cases and bell housings. he even said it himself "I drive like an *******" lol

Great review similar to what I found. The chatter is very light and only with low rpm starts but the stock TOB is NOISY!!!! Any time the clutch is in that ***** is screaming at me lol

seriously, the chatter is barely audible at all, i have to turn the radio off, ac off and really listen for it. it's a non issue in my opinion.
I would get with a vendor for pricing questions, I don't sell them, I just review parts.
