Disconnect the small white connector and try it again.

there are 2 connectors one small, 1 bigger that goes to the OBD2. disconnect the smaller plug if it's connected.

also try and reinstall evoscan. I had and issue when idling and I started the logger my rpms shot up to like 3k and when I stop it went normal. I just reinstalled it and it was good to go. That was a long time ago though

Seems as if your version of evo scan may have been currupted

Running with the white plug should have no effect

As the gentleman above suggested - try to erase and reload evo scan

That or you are trying to log at baud rate other than 15625. If the WB is set to "debug" it will bounce it around toward 19K and for some reason this makes the car act like you are describing.

Or your version of Evoscan has an issue. I would check the baud first though.

You're right Al...

it shouldn't have any effect, but I've seen sometimes it does, maybe with an older ver. of evoscan.

I had this happen to me random before, was using v99.. I was required to uninstall and reinstall the software for it to remedy the problem.

I suggest you do this also, I bet it works
