Thanks for your post but actually try looking around at other like items you'll fine its a fair price . This is not a part to just hold your Plate lights in place , these are made of 6160 and thats never cheap .

How hard is it to install? Any modification have to be maid to get this bar to fit? In case of an accident will this better or worsen the impact damage? Replacing a crash bar seems kinda iffy to me...

 

Will these work with a JDM rear?

 

This is a 100% bolt-on part and no modifications are needed . A "crash bar ' is there to keep the shape of a bumper and for 5mph impacts , its NOT there to give you any sort of protection for a high mph impact , one of the many times I learned from owing a body shop and seeing it first hand - like I told another guy if they wanted to protect us they would've giving us a metal one up front as well and not a 6 lb hollow Aluminum bar Most members just take them out and keep them off then just rigg-up the lights to work .

 

We'll have the 8/9 rear bars built for the JDM bumpers on sale this friday . They're also a 100% bolt-on parts

 

If you are in any way associated to the Engineering field, you would know 6061-T6 is expensive, as well as welding Aluminum. For materials and labor, this is a fair priced piece of work.

The one in the car from the factory is just 7lbs . We're thinking of doing one for those looking to run bigger intercoolers . I already have one on my car for my 4" thick FMIC

 

Well , thanks to our in-house "real world crash dummy" we have testing out a front Evo 9 crash bar . Hes a picture of it after it took down a road side poll at around 45 mph .

NOTE: by the way our new bars are 3/4" thicker , so we expect to be at least 40% stronger
