RIPPMODS Supercharger DONE!

OK guys... Huge news to be posted:

As you may or may not know, we purchased a 02 Lancer OZ for in house testing . Now we can go forward without the worry of using a customer’s car, there is only so much we would be willing to push on it.

Testing is just about wrapped up.... in our last update we were running 11psi on the stock internals for over 4000 miles and it held up perfectly... with the combination of our Black Box program and the SC consistency.

There was a wide spread concern about the high boost we are able to run, so we went back to the drawing board and got it all together so all of you can sleep easy . We now have 310cc injectors running soundly in place and more HP made as a result...

We topped out at 208WHP @ 11 psi, because we simply ran out of injector . At that level of boost the injectors were drastically too small. As you all know fuel makes power so with the added injector size, we backed off the boost and laid down 222whp and 211lb/ft of torque @ 9psi . We feel this is a happy medium, were we can make killer power throughout the entire boost curve, taking advantage of the all the low end grunt the SC produces.

This car is fast and the power comes on so smooth and rapidly its like having a much larger engine.... Spinning the tires easily 1st through 3rd! It will pull well up to 100mph in third… so fourth will propel the car past 120 easily… The set up is sound.

We will now be implementing a preproduction sale; the sale will incorporate savings for 5-10 buyers. If you are interested in the system we will be starting a list in our next post. I’m sure you have some questions regarding the set up… we welcome them as you have all been patient with us… we will surly be patient for you.

Our finale step will be writing instructions and taking pictures of the in house tester’s installation… We ask also if there is anyone in the Tri State Area with an AUTOMATIC, if they would be willing to purchase a kit at a reduced rate and have it installed FREE of charge so we can get the other half of you guys making HP also…

The kits solid and by far by RIPP standards, the most fun to drive because the Lancer is so light… and the transmissions gearing in near perfect for our set up…. The boost curve in relation to the gearing complement each other and give the car tons of acceleration.

We are working on 3 kits to make it more affordable for you;

A base kit which will require you to piece together fuel management on your own, it will include our drive, SC, piping, couplers, belt, and all the necessary hardware/oil lines.

A “Stage 2” is intercooled with our methanol/water injection system which brings you right into the 9psi range with the 222whp safely on stock internals.
A race set up which can run up to 20psi, for built engines only, this will be announced later in the year.

Stage 1, 2 can easily be upgraded to a Race set up with the addition of options.

Dont worry about running both man, too much money and time would be involved, for the lancer just pick one of the other.

also, you might wanna be ready to be flammed on, this question has come up quit a few times and the people got it handed to them lol.

Do a search, i know its on here.

I don't believe 3rd gear makes it to 100 mph...

But glad there is a supercharger on the market now...

But also people do your research and find out the pros and cons of the shaft driven supercharger (centrifugal) versus the a true spline/gear style supercharger versus a turbo. Just because there is something new out with big numbers don't jump on the bandwagon... just do the real research and think before jumping.

But great job Ripp's

So what about 11psi with the 310's? Could I break the 250 mark. Whats the preproduction sale price, I'll finish paying it off very soon.
