Group buy was supposed to be the week before last. Then it was last week. Now I imagine they'll say this week.
I am really considering getting one, but if they stall much longer this money in my pocket will have burnt a hole in my pants.
I called them last week and I guess they are really busy, they got like 3 project cars right now.
The questions for today are :
1.) On the project Stratus RT, they list a BOV. Is this necessary for Lancer Kits? Is it even necessary for a Supercharger since the boost is more linear than a Turbo?
2.) Should/can we have a boost guage or not?

Hurry up guys or you'll have one less buyer.

Blow off valve

All of our kits come with Blow off Valves. The boost is linear and stays linear. The blow off valve bleeds off and blows off back pressure getting sent to the Blower. Three main gauges are essential. Boost ,Air/Fuel and Oil Pressure. Without a blow off valve the backpressure would chew up the inside of the blower. I apologize for the delay with the group buy but we are doing the best we can and should post it promptly.

autometer would probably be the best bargain to go with. they're not dirt cheap (well unless you get them used), but they are one of the best..... for the price.

its not hard to install if you've done them before. i can help out if you want.

well i still got time so no worries there lol. But i guess right now sincei just got a job im kind of putting a price together in my head for how much finally i need to save up and how much i can spend without risking not getting either the turbo or what i will most likely get the supercharger.

i'm very confused on how much PSI the charger can run. I have been emailing RIPP before i saw this thread and i'm 99 percent sure he told me with a built engine u can get up to 26psi but on here it only says 20. I emailed them again asking for max HP and Torque that it can handle but no response yet. (if this has been answerd on the thread i only read up to page 3)

RIPPMODS

With our setup over 9 psi can be run on stock internals. Our R&D team has deemed 9psi to be the ideal amount of boost to run on an everyday driver. We will not sacrifice our reputation for reliability to squeeze out an extra 1 or 2 pounds of boost. My experience with driving the car is that the response is immediate. The power curve is almost completely linear and it runs like it just got off the assembly line at Mitsubishi. The car is producing 222whp and 211lbs of torque at 9psi. All of our kits are warranteed as well.

Also

The Vortech blower that we utilize is capable of 26 pounds of boost (quoted from their web site).

There is no such thing as a max. If you can make your motor handle it, fuel it, and tune your timming, the sky's the limit. At 26 psi you could be well over 400 hp and ft/lbs.

Well are engine isnt the biggest engine so it cant handle that much HP, even a silly little noob like me can figure that out. But what about is the max like around a certain number isnt a max but what is close to the max?

In stock form 222 whp is safe with there kit tuned there way. If you do enough work to your motor 400 hp is doable.

at 400hp it would prolly be more of a race only engine though. Not very steetable, unless you got a damn nice EMS
