isnt the bhp/bt like 271/265? isnt that like evo stock numbers? Also what does this supercharger have that a turbo kit doesnt. Is this the best fastest upgrade for our car to date? Isnt RRM working or have something just as good or even better? Anybody actually ran with it and can drop a few experince paragraphs?

ripp do you guys plan on getting carb certificates? if so how long do u see it taking? i ask this not 2 be a ***** but because our cars are already hot targets for street racer profiling (yea i know it may be tru ) and most of our cars are due for inspection within the next 2 years (since most of our cars are 2002 or 2003). Not to be pushy but I think if RIPP has any real aspirations to be #1 or atleast a legitimate #2 alternative (the turbo rpm makes is carb cert.) we as customers willing to drop $4000 large bills are in titled to this if this is being presented as the safest bet to boosting without potentially blowing our little engines. Some may not like this but if RIPP needs to take a little while longer to get the carb thing straight then hey my $4000 will still be waiting and ready. also not to sound angry but if RIPP could please make it a new habit to check the forums its involved in atleast every 2 days it would really help all of us at evoM keep from asking the same questions over and over again, making assumptions and spreading rumors that arent tru, and keep our intrest in wanting to spend our money very high. This lack of pictures, dyno slips, video, and missed posts only gives haters of the supercharger more and more bullets to shoot ! and another thing; if my memory serves me right the rpm guys challenged u guys as soon as the kit was up well damit i say race and beat them as soon as u get it working! we cant fight unless we have info. please read throughly as I am simply trying to help and if u guys address all questions I have presented it will clearly get u not only more potential customers but alot of respect in the evom forums.

i'm jealous you can say that lol. must be cool seein yer pic all over the forums. n i personally like the sound of a supercharger...carb takes a lot of time...so much paperwork to get done. rrm is still dealing with that, although i'm sure it'll get done

I think I can answer some of this... but I don't know a ton about RIPP so someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Go to their forums on their own site for their more up to date information. I think it's asking a lot of them to come here too often because they don't just work on Lancers - visiting all the forums of all the cars they work on and keeping up with them would leave little time for actually working on cars.

I'm pretty sure they won't have carb certification, at least no time soon. They've said that an aftermarket header is necessary for the kit, which would entail removing the stock exhaust headers and the first cat, which can't be approved.

They've posted pictures (see BlazenOz's car) and they've posted dyno slips at some point too (not sure if they're still around, as they were for an earlier setup Blaze had) which is something I don't think anyone else has done. RRM's been doing Lancers for longer and have them as the main point of concentration of their R&D but have no time slips, dynos, and only recently a short video, so I don't know what you expect them to do to compete for #1.

As for a RIPP/RPM race, that's a bit tough when most of the RRM kits are on the west coast and the only RIPP kit is over here on the east coast.

Anyway, you kept apologizing for flaming RIPP, but your post still was flaming it seems. The answers were around, probably in this thread. And most of your post just sums up to trying to instigate RIPP into a pissing contest with RRM.

i don't think he was really ripping just asking a lot of ??'s as he's interested in the SC and doesn't like to see it shot at. That's my take anyway...

As for the RRM postings hope your refering to the Stage 2 stuff as i've posted my times/slips and i've posted my dyno before. I do have an earlier stage 2 dyno somewhere i'll get that if you'd like but it's only like 205whp and 239wtq. But i stopped as i was happy and the drag car became the test subject... I've blown to many motors playing around so RRM picked up where i left off.

As for a challenge... that was actually me not RRM. I did a personal challenge but no one on the west cost has the kit. I've even tried to get RIPP to fully sponsor a kit just for the challenge but no dice.

As it stands RRM and RIPP are leading the lancer world into more and more power. Although i don't like the sound of SC either there are some who don't like the lag of turbo. You give to get both have there positives and negatives. Constructive critisism and real world demonstrations are where truths lie. Eventually everything will be known. There are so many ready for a Group Buy though that i can't figure out what is taking so long to release the kit. I'm supper interested in seeing time slips from people and hearing kill stories.

Blazen do some promotion work here... Everyone needs the info. Not just it's great and even. Lets here kills, lets see time slips, hell RRM sponsored me for many of my track/dyno visits so if money is the only thing keeping you from doing this just ask them to sponsor... i'm sure they would. Also get some other lancer owners to go and back you. Hell you're car should easily be in the 13's with that power. Good luck man and hope to see some info soon.

RIPP MODS SC: 220/240
RRM Stage2 TC: 205/222
?

Is this right? Also, isnt the SC cheaper too and fully upgradable in the future?

It's taking way too long for the GB. It's been what, like a month???? I said it once and now I got another offer from Stafford Fab for their turbo. $3300 IC'd, any color, everything included. Ripp, you only got a few days left for one less customer!! Hate to do it but I'm tired of 100whp. I got the money but I ain't spendin a whole $3899 and still gotta buy stuff, then be pissed when you do the GB.
