Driven Innovations.. New Intake Manifold Lineup.. 8 Injector Setup for E-85!!!

We have been working hand and hand with Tom @ Driven Innovations to produce an 8 Injector manifold for those of us running E85.. We have thoroughly Tested the previous unit and it has held up to 50psi of Boost and abuse of an 8.75et Evo.. The unit has been Great..

This unit is now closing in on its final stages of production.. What we have to show you is a protoype of the newest unit.. Notice the Injectors are not placed side by side in a single rail for a total of 8 but staged further up the runner to aid in the cooling effect given by running ethanol Fuels.. We beleive this is the Proper way to setup an 8 injector manifold.. The fuel rail setup will accept any rail that fit the stock location including stock rails.. This manifold will be going on our 8 second race car for final testing and then will be released to the public.. Ill keep the thread updated as we progress further with more testing..

Also, we will be pairing this with a Boomba Throttle Body for the testing.. Pricing on the 8 Injector setup will be 1395.00 + 100.00 per rail if purchased with the manifold.. any questions dont hesistate to ask.. If we dont have the answer we will get it for you from Tom.. Thanks!!

Mike

The Beautiful extra 4 injectors on the Bottom and up the runner..

Is this only design for e85?

Any benefits for pump gas?

I dont think you could make enough power on Pump gas to need 8 injectors.. Even on Race gas you can get away with a 4 injector setup..

The 8 second car will be going thru some changes here actually.. We may be running 8-2200cc injectors when its said and done.. Well see how far the 8 - 1600cc go..

Typically since you have 8 yes you can run smaller injectors.. you could run say 1000's and 880's and have them come on at different boost levels.. So rather than running on straight 1600's x 4.. you can be cruising on 4 880's and then have the 1000's come on under a certain boost level..

How does that work? Can you tune it and use say 880's as primarys and then 1000's or 1600's as secondarys?? How would you do that? Just at a certain Throttle position or something? Could you do that with the stock ecu?

Yes the smaller injector size as primary and then the larger as secondary.. We use Haltech for all 8 injectors cars.. it can be done with AEM as well.. Not stock ecu..

I know this might sound kind of tricky and be somewhat troublesome with tuning, but I bet this could be done on a stock ECU...but it would require a double pumper. With the double pumper, the second pump kicks on at a preset amount of boost from the activation source. Just run seperate lines off the double pumper instead of a "Y" connector and it should work fine. The second line would just run to the secondary set of injectors. I don't think this would be optimal at all, but it should work. Any other inputs would be interesting to hear on this as well.

I dont think the stock injectors drivers will be able to handle it personally but who knows until you try.. I still wouldnt risk my motor.. Id run a proper standalone..
